As almost of fresh exosomes are biological nanoscale spherical lipid bilayer vesicles, they inevitably have a very short shelf life. Even if stored at -80°C, the shape of exosomes changes after 4 days and the biological activity changes after 4 weeks.

During storage, Exosomes should be stored for a long time while maintaining its original biological effect, and there should be no destruction of the form of exosomes during use. 

Trehalose
Trehalose is the best disaccharide to protect exosomes from destruction during freeze-drying and thawing.

The larvae of Polypedilum vanderplanki survive almost complete dehydration and survive dry conditions. Then, when it encounters water, it is revived by sucking in the water again. Thus, the African litter can fully move between living things and matter. Here, what is very interesting is that when African larvae are in a dry environment, a sugar called trehalose protects cells by binding to cell membranes or proteins instead of water in place of water that disappears, and when water is supplied again, sugar is replaced by water.

Hyaluronic acid is a part of the tissue in the human body and has the power to strongly attract water molecules. It theoretically attracts water molecules about 1000 times its own molecular weight (actually about 300 times).
High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid has a moisturizing effect on the skin surface, and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid has a moisturizing effect on the dermis..
